From childhood on, I always believed in reusing, repurposing and reloving items. This came directly from my grandmother who endured two world wars in Germany with very little. She gave me her contagious enthusiasm for old and previously used things and how to reuse them in life.
Through my school age years I lived at thrift shops purchasing vintage clothes or my own brand of “me” and furnishing my surroundings. As I grew older, modifying and design took hold to optimize my ever-developing aesthetic. This coupled with influencers in stage, film, art, interior design, museum work and restoration, helped to find my “eye” and ultimately my niche. Now that I am all grown up, I cannot fathom a life any other way. I ultimately left teaching full time to part and have taken the “reuse, repurpose and relove” to full time.
My interests are definitely broad: industrial, architectural, mid century, traditional, folk, eclectic and gravitate most definitely to timeless, fun and funky. I stay away from “trends”and instead create spaces that make you smile and showcase your own brand of “you”.
